TULSA, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Robbie Beck rushed for 150 yards and quarterback Greg Henderson added 143 yards on the ground and two touchdowns as Rice posted a 33-18 Western Athletic Conference victory over Tulsa.
Henderson had TD runs of 10 and 63 yards as Rice (4-5, 3-3 WAC) scored 20 points in the second quarter. Ed Bailey added a one-yard TD plunge to make it 20-0 at halftime.
Beck added a 14-yard TD run to cap a nine-play, 86-yard drive for a 30-6 bulge early in the fourth quarter. Beck fell six yards shy of his career high, set last season against Nevada.
Tulsa (1-8, 1-4) scored its only two touchdowns in the fourth quarter on a seven-yard TD run by James Kilian and a one-yard touchdown plunge by Eric Richardson.
The Owls finished with 488 yards of total offense after collecting a school record 653 yards in a 59-32 rout of the Golden Hurricane a year ago.
