FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas (Ticker) -- Matt Jones passed for two touchdowns and ran for a season-high 129 yards and another score as Arkansas held off Louisiana-Lafayette, 24-17, in a non-conference matchup.

Jones got Arkansas (7-3) on the board first with a 62-yard run with 5:52 left in the first quarter and gave the Razorbacks a 24-10 advantage with a 19-yard toss to Decori Birmingham five seconds into the fourth quarter.

The Ragin' Cajuns (3-8) completed the scoring with an 18-yard return of a blocked punt by Wendall Williams with 2:52 to play - the first TD the Razorbacks had allowed off a blocked punt since 1991.

Arkansas, which outgained Louisiana-Lafayette on the ground, 263-61, won its forth straight game and improved to 16-0 in non-conference regular-season games under Houston Nutt.

Louisiana-Lafayette, which never led, got within 10-7 on a 22-yard pass from Eric Rekieta to Fred Stamps with 3:54 to play in the second quarter. It was the first points the Razorbacks had allowed in nine quarters.

But Jones countered with a 24-yard strike to Carlos Ousley 1:01 later and the Ragin' Cajuns got no closer than seven points thereafter.

Rekieta was 19-of-36 for 168 yards and two interceptions while Jones went 9-of-13 for 118 yards.
