MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- So much for Army's hopes of winning two in a row.
Danny Wimprine passed for 216 yards and a touchdown and DeAngelo Williams rushed for 110 yards and two scores on just 10 carries as Memphis routed the Cadets, 38-10, in a Conference USA contest.
Last week, Army (1-10, 1-7) beat Tulane to become the last Division I-A team to record its first win of the season.
The Black Knights were tied with the Tigers (3-6, 2-6) at the intermission, but Memphis scored 24 unanswered points in the second half.
The Tigers took the lead for good, 17-10, on Williams' 59-yard TD run with 12:03 left in the third quarter, then made it 24-10 on Wimprine's 10-yard TD strike to Tavares Gideon six minutes later.
Memphis pulled away in the fourth quarter on TD runs of one yard by Dante Brown and 12 yards by Williams.
The Tigers rolled up 434 yards of total offense while holding the Black Knights to just 167.
Army was limited to just 44 yards on the ground, while Reggie Nevels completed only 7-of-15 passes for 86 yards.
