Baylor 17 Game recap
Game summary
The Star Jason White, QB, Oklahoma
Nate Hybl never touched the field, as White was 30-of-42 for 343 yards in his first start.
The Skinny OU's defense was predictably dominant, holding Baylor to 119 yards on the ground. But the game remained close because Baylor sacked OU eight times, one more than the Sooners had allowed all season. Freshman WR Mark Clayton had a breakout game, catching eight passes for 108 yards.
The Future Oklahoma (7-0): Saturday at No. 3 Nebraska
Baylor (2-4): Saturday vs. Texas Tech

No. 3

at Lincoln, Neb.
Texas Tech 31 Game recap
Game summary
The Star Dahrran Diedrick, RB, Nebraska
Rushed for 157 yards on 20 carries as the Huskers survived a high-scoring affair.
The Skinny A disturbing game for the Huskers, who were tied 28-28 at halftime and allowed Texas Tech quarterback Kliff Kingsbury to slice and dice them for 353 yards. Eric Crouch did throw three TD passes and ran for 105 yards and another score, but Nebraska's defense was porous with Oklahoma looming next.
The Future Nebraska (8-0): Saturday vs. No. 2 Oklahoma
Texas Tech (3-3) Saturday at Baylor

No. 4
UCLA 56
at Pasadena, Calif.
California 17 Game summary
The Star Cory Paus, QB, UCLA
Passed for a season-high 273 yards and three touchdowns in less than three quarters.
The Skinny The Bruins started slow against the winless Golden Bears before taking the lead for good late in the second quarter. DeShaun Foster rushed for 117 yards, more than 45 below his nation-leading 162.6 yard average.
The Future UCLA (6-0): Saturday at Stanford
California (0-6) Saturday at Oregon State

Stanford 49 at Eugene, Ore.
No. 5
Oregon 42
Game recap
Game summary
The Star Tank Williams, S, Stanford
Made plays all over the field, including an interception, two pass deflections and six tackles.
The Skinny The upset was classic Pac-10, with Joey Harrington (22-of-41, 270 yards, 3 TDs) leading the Ducks to a 42-28 lead only to see Stanford score three fourth-quarter TDs -- two off Oregon turnovers. Stanford QB Randy Fasani (7-of-11, 141) left with a sprained knee, but Chris Lewis (12-of-26, 189 yards, 2 TDs) excelled in relief.
The Future Stanford (4-1): Saturday vs. No. 4 UCLA

The Star Cedric Benson, RB, Texas
Freshman scored his second straight big day, notching 159 all-purpose yards and two TDs.
The Skinny Texas held the Buffs' previously dominant running game to 124 yards -- 100 below their average -- and pressured fill-in QB Bobby Pesavento (15-of-27, 165 yards). On the other side, Horns QB Chris Simms had a big game (17-of-28, 234 yards, 3 TDs), hooking up with Sloan Thomas for two of the touchdowns.

The Skinny Alabama entered the fourth quarter with the lead, but Clausen and RB Travis Stephens (33 carries, 162 yards) took over, leading Tennessee to an unprecedented seventh straight defeat of the Tide. Alabama RB Santonio Beard (10 carries, 141 yards) was huge, but Tyler Watts managed just 1 rushing yard.

Game recap
Game summary
The Star Ryan Dinwiddie, QB, Boise State
Upstaged David Carr with 297 yards passing and four touchdowns, including the game-winning TD pass.
The Skinny Well, Fresno State was a good story while it lasted. The Bulldogs led 28-14 early in the third, but the Broncos scored twice quickly -- the second after RB Paris Gaines committed Fresno's first fumble of the season. A Dinwiddie TD pass gave Boise State the lead, and its defense sacked Carr on the Bulldogs' final play.
The Future Boise State (4-3): Saturday vs. Nevada

The Skinny This is old hat for the Huskies, who have won four games with fourth-quarter comebacks. Arizona barely missed its first Pac-10 victory because it couldn't stop Pickett, who drove Washington 55 yards in just six plays for the winning score.
