Virginia will likely finish with a national top 10 recruiting class, and Cavalier fans can point to one day, Monday, Feb. 4, as the day their football future may have been laid.

Al Groh hit a triple -- or is it a home run? -- in the state of Virginia, as three of the top 21 national players on TheInsiders 101 list committed in a 24-hour period:

  • No. 10 Kai Parham, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker from Virginia Beach Princess Anne.

  • No. 16 Ahmad Brooks, a 6-4, 230-pound linebacker from Woodbridge Hylton.

  • And No. 21 Michael Johnson, a 5-10, 185-pound running back from Lynchburg Heritage.

    "This has been the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life," Parham told BorderWars.com on Monday. "I have been switching back and forth every minute between Virginia and Tennessee. I just prayed about it and I am going to Virginia."
