KENT, Ohio(AP) Uegene Jarvis ran for 141 yards and a touchdown to lead Kent State to an 18-0 win over Coastal Carolina on Thursday night.
Jarvis also returned five punts for 77 yards and caught three passes for 30 yards.
Tyshon Goode led the Golden Flames receivers with 84 yards on six catches.
The Golden Flashes held Coastal Carolina to 185 total yards and scored on two safeties. Cobrani Mixon led Kent State's defensive effort with 12 tackles.
Kent State outgained Coastal Carolina 143-78 on the ground.
The Chanticleers were led by Zach MacDowall with 107 yards on 12 of 26 passing and Jeremy Height ran for 52 yards.
