INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Andrew Huck threw three touchdown passes, all in the second quarter, to lead Butler past Albion 31-17 on Saturday in the opener for both teams.
Huck connected with Jeff Larsen for a yard in the first minute of the period, and found Matt Jenson for a 19-yard score later in the quarter. Zach Watkins caught a 19-yard touchdown pass from Huck with 45 seconds left in the half to give the Bulldogs a 31-3 lead.
Trae Heeter ran for a 6-yard TD in the first quarter for Butler. Huck finished 22-of-26 for 235 yards and was intercepted once.
Spencer Krauss threw for 189 yards and a touchdown for the Division III Britons. Clinton Orr ran for 85 yards, including a 2-yard TD.
