BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) -- Keith Sherman had a 52-yard touchdown run for the first of six straight Lehigh scores in the Mountain Hawks' 37-12 win over Lafayette on Saturday.
Lehigh (10-1, 5-0 Patriot League) outgained the Leopards 428-259 in total offense, and finished Patriot League play undefeated for second year in a row. The Mountain Hawks clinched the conference title after a win over Georgetown last week.
Lehigh defeated Lafayette (4-7, 1-4) for the fifth time after coming off a playoff-clinching victory.
The Mountain Hawks scored on two runs, a field goal, a pass and a fumble recovery before the Leopards scored.
Chris Lum was 20 of 35 for 279 yards and a touchdown for Lehigh, and now holds school single-season records for completions and passing yards, while tied for the touchdown record.
Ryan O'Neil threw a 16-yard pass to Brandon Hall 7 seconds into the fourth quarter to break the shutout.
