UC Davis rolls past Azusa Pacific 41-3
DAVIS, Calif. (AP) -- Randy Wright threw a touchdown pass and UC Davis scored four rushing touchdowns to roll past Azusa
Pacific 41-3 Thursday night.
The Aggies, in their season opener, grabbed a 27-3 halftime lead against the Cougars from Division II. Marquis Nicholis led
Davis with 79 yards rushing, while Dalton Turay scored twice on short runs. Colton Silveria and Courtney Williams also ran
for TDs for the Aggies and Wright connected with Taylor Sloat for a 37-yard score. UC Davis is in its first season as a member
of the Big Sky Conference.
Terrel Watson ran 17 times for 144 yards for Azusa Pacific, but the Cougars' only points came on Jamie Cacciatore's 41-yard
field goal in the second quarter.
