Towson defeats Delaware 34-27 in overtime
NEWARK, Del. (AP) -- Grant Enders passed for two touchdowns and Terrance West ran for two more, the second a 3-yarder
in overtime to give Towson a dramatic 34-27 victory over Delaware Saturday in Colonial Athletic Association action.
Enders' scoring passes both went to Emmanuel Holder, the second a 2-yarder with 0:44 left in regulation giving Towson (5-4,
4-2) a 27-24 lead. But Delaware's Sean Baner kicked his second field goal, a 40-yarder with 2.8 seconds left, to force overtime.
If Towson's D.J. Soven hadn't missed the point-after following the Tigers' third touchdown, Towson might have won in regulation.
On the Tigers' first possession of overtime, West - who rushed for 113 yards - scored from the 3-yard line. Soven kicked the
extra-point.
On Delaware's possession, the Blue Hens (5-4, 2-4) went nowhere. Hurley was stopped for no gain on first down, then threw
two incompletions before Towson's John Love intercepted at the 1.
