Liberty's run game stops Charleston Southern 26-12
LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) -- Aldreakis Allen rushed for 179 yards and three touchdowns to lead Liberty to a 26-12 Big South
Conference victory over Charleston Southern on Saturday.
Allen's scoring runs covered 56, 35 and 30 yards as the Flames (4-5, 3-1) amassed 302 yards on the ground, the fourth time
this season Liberty has surpassed 200 yards rushing. It was Allen's fourth 100-yard game of the season.
Liberty led 13-6 at halftime and scored 13 third-quarter points to seal the victory. The Flames' Josh Woodrum passed for 108
yards and a touchdown, hitting Nicky Fualaau on a 5-yarder.
Malcolm Dixon passed for 185 yards and a touchdown - a 41-yarder to Kirby Broome - for Charleston Southern (4-5, 2-2), and
he also rushed for 45 yards and a score.
It was Liberty's seventh consecutive victory over Charleston Southern for an 18-2 advantage in the series.
