Jacksonville pulls away from Stetson for 45-24 win
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Kade Bell threw two of his four touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to lead Jacksonville
past Stetson 45-24 on Saturday.
Ryan Powers blocked a punt by Dylan Lynch before scooping up the ball and running it 28 yards to erase a seven-point deficit
for Stetson (2-8, 1-6 Pioneer Football League), tying the game at 24-24 with 3:09 remaining in the third quarter.
Bell's interception just over two minutes later gave the Hatters the ball deep in their own territory. After a 15-yard run
by Dre Long and a 44-yard pass from Ryan Tentler to Mike Yonker gave Stetson a first-and-10 at the Jacksonville (5-6, 4-4)
28 yard line, Tentler fumbled the ball and Charlie Jimenez returned it 60-yards for a touchdown, giving the Dolphins a 31-24
lead as the third quarter expired.
Bell finished the game with 325 yards passing and three interceptions. Jacksonville had 633 total yards.
