BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (Ticker) -- No. 14 Louisiana State aims for its first three-game winning streak over Mississippi since 1987-89 when the Southeastern Conference rivals meet on Saturday.

The Tigers have won three of the last four meetings with the Rebels, taking the last two by a combined four points. They snapped a three-game home losing streak in the series two years ago, 14-13, and posted a 17-14 triumph in Oxford last year.

LSU (7-2, 4-2 SEC West) has won four straight games, including a 26-10 triumph over Alabama last week.

Linebacker Cameron Vaughn picked up a fumble and ran eight yards for the go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter for the Tigers, who scored the final 23 points.

The Tigers held the Crimson Tide to just 196 yards, including 82 on the ground.

Ole Miss (3-6, 2-4 West) has dropped three consecutive contests, getting blown out at Arkansas last Saturday, 35-3.

Ethan Flatt completed 11-of-21 passes for just 121 yards and backup Robert Lane went 4-of-13 for 42 yards for the Rebels, who converted just 2-of-12 third downs.
