MEMPHIS (Ticker) -- The nation's top two offenses square off in the Liberty Bowl when No. 8 Louisville faces 10th-ranked Boise State.
The Cardinals lead the country in both scoring (49.80) and total offense (538.20), while the Broncos are second in both categories, averaging 49.73 points and 511.64 yards.
Louisville (10-1), which went 8-0 in Conference USA play, would have gone unbeaten in the regular season if it had not blown a 17-point third-quarter lead in a 41-38 setback at Miami on October 14.
Cardinals senior quarterback Stefan LeFors leads the country in passing efficiency (188.83).
Boise State (11-0), which went undefeated in the regular season for the first time, has won a national-best 22 straight games.
Despite all of the Broncos' gaudy offensive numbers, the only player to be near the top of the country in any statistical category is kicker Tyler Jones, who leads the nation in field goals per game (2.00) and is third in scoring (11.91).
