BOISE, Idaho (Ticker) -- Boise State rolled up nearly 600 yards of total offense en route to a 62-0 season-opening victory over Idaho State.
Ryan Dinwiddie completed only 16-of-30 passes for 235 yards as Boise State (1-0) outgained Idaho State, 587-152.
Dinwiddie also threw for one touchdown as the Broncos spread the wealth. He also rushed for a 12-yard TD.
Boise State scored 10 points in the first period, then broke it open with 21 points in the second quarter.
The Broncos recorded their first shutout since blanking North Texas , 59-0, in the seventh game of the 2000 season.
The Broncos outgained Idaho State on the ground, 259-6. David Mickell fell just short of the century mark, rushing for 99 yards on 16 carries.
Idaho State's Roman Ybarra completed 16-of-31 passes for 109 yards and two interceptions.
