STILLWATER, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Tatum Bell scored a career-high four touchdowns and rushed for 143 yards as Oklahoma State posted its second straight victory with a 42-3 thrashing of I-AA Southwest Missouri State.
Bell scored two touchdowns in each half as the Cowboys (2-1) dominated on the ground against the smaller Bears. Seymore Shaw carried 10 times for 107 yards and one touchdown.
Oklahoma State took a 7-0 lead when Josh Fields hit Rashaun Woods for a 38-yard touchdown in the first quarter. It was Woods' 29th career receiving touchdown, tying Hart Lee Dykes' school record.
Bell, who had a career-high 215 yards last week against Wyoming, scored his first touchdown on a two-yard run with seven seconds left in the first quarter. He added a six-yard TD run for a 21-0 cushion with just over three minutes to go before halftime.
The Cowboys got TD runs of six yards and 26 yards from Bell in the second half. Shaw capped the scoring with a 53-yard TD run with less than three minutes remaining.
Fields had modest numbers, completing 14-of-26 passes for 153 yards. Woods caught four passes for 71 yards.
The Bears (1-1) finished with 219 yards of total offense and have dropped all four matchups with the Cowboys.
