FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas (Ticker) -- Arkansas has to be happy to still have Matt Jones.
Jones passed for a touchdown and rushed for another score as Arkansas rolled to a 63-13 rout of overmatched New Mexico State in the season opener for both schools.
The Razorbacks' only returning offensive starter, Jones completed 13-of-16 passes for 195 yards. He also rushed for 38 yards before leaving the contest with the game in hand in the third quarter.
Jones ran one yard for a TD in the first quarter and added a 38-yard scoring strike to Marcus Monk in the second quarterback, helping the Razorbacks open a 42-7 cushion.
Redshirt freshman Robert Johnson also threw for two touchdowns for the Razorbacks, who have won 22 straight non-conference games.
Buck Pierce passed for two touchdowns for the Aggies.
