WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Cory Randolph threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Willie Idlette with 69 seconds remaining, lifting Wake Forest to a 17-14 victory over Boston College.

Randolph's pass to Idlette down the left sideline capped a 10-play, 80-yard drive. Randolph went 11-of-19 for 141 yards and also rushed for 46 yards on 10 attempts.

A.J Brooks had scored on an 11-yard run with 9:08 to play, giving Boston College (3-1) a 14-10 lead. Brooks carried 13 times for 95 yards.

In the first quarter, Nate Morton threw a 53-yard TD pass to fellow wide receiver Chris Davis for the Demon Deacons (3-1), who beat the Eagles for the second straight season. They posted a 32-28 win at Boston College last year's opener.

Paul Peterson threw a seven-yard TD pass to Joel Hazard late in the second quarter for the Eagles. Peterson went 21-of-38 for 269 yards and an interception.
