STARKVILLE, Mississippi (Ticker) -- Roddy White and Reggie Lindsey kept Mississippi State's season on a downward spiral.
White grabbed two touchdown passes and Lindsey put the game out of reach with a 67-yard punt return as UAB posted a 27-13 win against Mississippi State, which has lost four consecutive games after winning its opener.
UAB (4-1) took the lead for good, 17-10, on Darrell Hackney's 18-yard TD pass to White on the opening drive of the second half. White had seven catches for 123 yards.
After both teams exchanged field goals early in the fourth, Lindsey sealed the Blazers' third straight win with his punt-return TD with 7:40 left.
The loss spoiled the stellar performance of Bulldogs junior Jerious Norwood, who rushed for a career-high 201 yards on 24 carries.
After the Bulldogs capped the opening drive of the game with a 48-yard field goal by Keith Andrews, the Blazers took the lead when Hackney connected with White for a 52-yard strike on the second play of their first possesion.
Kyle York kept Mississippi State in the game with an eight-yard TD to tight end Eric Butler with 4:40 left in the second quarter, but the junior quarterback finished with only 99 yards passing.
