COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Ted Ginn and Tyler Everett each scored first-quarter touchdowns as Ohio State notched a 21-10 Big Ten Conference victory over Penn State.
Ginn, a true freshman, brought back a punt by Jeremy Kapinos 67 yards for the first TD with 5:18 remaining in the period. Ginn also scored on a punt return three weeks ago against Wisconsin.
Ohio State (5-3, 2-3 Big Ten) scored again 1:37 later when Tyler Everett intercepted Michael Robinson and took it 24 yards to the end zone.
Robinson was 7-of-21 for 69 yards and two interceptions.
Penn State (2-6, 0-5), which managed just two safeties in a 6-4 loss to Iowa last week, recorded its only touchdown in the second quarter when Tony Hunt scored from three yards out. Hunt was the Nittany Lions' top rusher with 85 yards on 20 carries.
The Buckeyes increased the lead to 21-7 before halftime when Branden Joe ran in from the 4.
Ohio State won despite being outgained by Penn State, 246-202.
Ohio State has won 20 of 21 at home and picked up its second straight victory after dropping three games in a row. The Buckeyes evened the series against the Nittany Lions with 10 victories each.
Penn State has lost five consecutive games, which is its longest losing streak since opening last season with six straight defeats. The Nittany Lions are winless their last nine road games.
