LAS VEGAS (Ticker) -- Corey Bramlet made Wyoming's first trip to a bowl game in 11 years worth the wait.

Bramlet threw a pair of touchdown passes, including a 12-yard strike to John Wadkowski with 57 seconds remaining, to lead the Cowboys to a 24-21 victory over UCLA in the Las Vegas Bowl.

The Cowboys took a 10-0 lead in the first quarter only to have UCLA reel off 21 consecutive points and take a 21-10 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Wyoming cut the deficit to 21-17 on a 22-yard reverse pass from wide receiver Jovon Bouknight to backup quarterback J.J. Raterink just over two minutes into the fourth quarter.

"We really came out of the blocks going 100 miles per hour, then we hit some tough times and started going backwards," Wyoming coach Joe Glenn said. "We totally lost the momentum but out kids just kept powering through."

Trailing by four with just over four minutes to play, Wyoming (7-5) took the lead on a 10-play, 72-yard drive that Bramlet capped with his second TD pass of the game. He finished 20-of-34 for 307 yards and was intercepted once.

Bramlet's first scoring strike of the game, a 10-yard pass to Tyler Holden, gave Wyoming a 10-0 lead with 4:11 to play in the opening quarter.

"I think this is the perfect way to end our season," Bramlet said. "On a personal level, it's nice to send the seniors out on a good note."

UCLA (6-6) scored 14 points in the second quarter to take the lead but lost starting quarterback Drew Olson to a sprained left knee. Olson, who finished 6-of-12 for 96 yards and a TD, did not return.

"I take my hat off to Wyoming. They fought every inch of the way," UCLA coach Karl Dorrell said. "They were down 11 points and they kept battling back. They ended up making more plays at the end of the game than we did. That was the difference in this ballgame."

David Koral came on after Olson went down and completed 7-of-12 passes for 89 yards and two scores both to Craig Bragg. Their first connection, from 17-yards out, gave the Bruins their first lead, 14-10, 1:50 before the half. Koral found Bragg again midway through the third for a 25-yard TD to extend the Bruins lead to 21-10.

Maurice Drew rushed for 126 yards on 25 carries for UCLA, which was hampered by three turnovers.

Wyoming rushed for just 76 yards on 30 carries.
