2-2 on the season. Alcorn State dropped to 1-5 overall, 0-1 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
The Aggies controlled the scoreboard with an opening drive that lasted less than a minute and ended with a 57-yard TD run
and an extra point by
NMSU went on to dominate the offensive battle with 571 total yards compared to 195 by Alcorn State.
Timothy Buckley went 11-for-21 for 141 yards in the first half before
, Jr. stepped into the pocket for the Braves. Hobson threw for 67 yards and completed 9-of-18 attempts.
Holbrook anchored the Aggies through three quarters with 270 yards passing on 20-of-25 attempts, and J.J. McDermott finished
the game with 81 yards passing.
