BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - Tyler Sheehan threw two touchdown passes and ran for another for Bowling Green as the Falcons held off Kent State's second half surge to win 45-30 on Saturday.

Anthony Turner 's 11-yard run combined with Sheehan's touchdown passes to Corey Partridge and Jimmy Scheidler helped Bowling Green (4-5, 2-3 Mid-American) jump out to a 28-0 halftime lead.

But Kent State (2-7, 1-4) quarterback Julian Edelman threw for a touchdown, then ran for two more to get the Golden Flashes close with just more than five minutes left.

Jason Rice 's 33-yard run a minute later for Bowling Green made it 45-23. Edelman threw his second touchdown pass on Kent State's next drive, but the Golden Flashes couldn't score again.

Edelman ran for 170 yards and was 16 of 31 in passing for 219 yards and two interceptions. Kent State's Eugene Jarvis added 94 yards on the ground.
