MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) - Myles Eden and David Richmond connected on two scoring passes for San Jose State as the Spartans held off Idaho 30-24 on Saturday.

Idaho quarterback Nate Enderle hit Eddie Williams with a 3-yard touchdown pass with 2:42 left in the fourth quarter. But San Jose's Jeff Clark snagged the ball on the ensuing onside kick at the Idaho 36, allowing the Spartans (6-3, 4-1 Western Athletic Conference) to run out the clock.

Eden had hit Richmond with a 35-yard touchdown pass late in the third quarter, making the score 30-10 going into the fourth.

Princeton McCarty scored on a 14-yard run for Idaho (2-8, 1-5) with 12:33 left. Tino Amancio hit the extra point, narrowing the Spartans' lead to 30-17.

Ten minutes later, Enderle hit Williams with the 3-yard scoring pass to bring the Vandals within 6 points before their failed onside kick.

Eden was starting in his second game of the year, filling in for Kyle Reed , who was out with a bruised tailbone. He finished 23-of-31 with an interception and two touchdown passes.

Richmond finished with eight catches for 138 yards and two touchdowns. Yonus Davis led the San Jose ground attack with 10 carries for 49 yards.

For the Vandals, Enderle finished 10-of-19 for 138 yards with one interception and two touchdown passes.

Deonte Jackson had 10 carries for 78 yards for Idaho, and Max Komar had four catches for 69 yards.
