KENT, Ohio (AP) -Buffalo's
Drew Willy
led an 11-play, 73-yard fourth quarter scoring drive to tie Kent State, setting up Bran Thermilus's 1-yard TD run in overtime
that gave the Bulls a 30-23 win Saturday.
Willy was 34 of 44 for 334 yards and two touchdowns for Buffalo (5-7, 5-3 Mid-American East), including a four-yard score
to
Brett Hamlin
that capped the long drive and made it 23-23 with just under five minutes to play.
Eugene Jarvis
gained 196 yards on 34 carries for Kent State (3-9, 1-7) and also caught three passes for 68 yards, including a 24-yard TD
reception in the first quarter.
Buffalo's
Ernest Jackson
caught nine passes for 118 yards and a touchdown, while Naam Roosevelt caught eight passes for 90 yards and returned a first-half
kickoff for 83 yards.
