EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- The Minnesota Vikings finally found a new partner for Randy Moss, agreeing to terms Friday with free agent wide receiver Derrick Alexander.

Alexander, who spent the last four seasons with Kansas City, fills the position created when Cris Carter retired last month after catching more than 1,000 passes and scoring 129 touchdowns in 15 seasons.

Alexander's best year was 2000, when he caught 78 passes for 1,391 yards and 10 touchdowns. He caught only 27 passes for 470 yards and three TDs in 13 games of an injury-plagued 2001.

He joins Moss, veteran Chris Walsh and free-agent signees D'Wayne Bates and Sean Dawkins in the Vikings' receiving corps, will participate in minicamp this weekend.
