Matthews hurts shoulder, leaves game

LANDOVER, Md. (AP) -- Washington quarterback Shane Matthews bruised his left shoulder on the Redskins' last play of the first half against the Philadelphia Eagles and was replaced by Danny
Wuerffel.
Matthews was hit by Darwin Walker as he threw an incomplete pass on fourth-and-10 with 1:02 remaining in the half.
Matthews, who threw for 327 yards in a season-opening victory over Arizona, was 10-of-22 for 62 yards in the half.
