He returned for his senior year in 1998 after missing the '97 season with a knee injury and it seems to have worked out well for him. He is a big physical WR and certainly has enough size and strength to catch the ball over the middle, push off the bump and he is effective in the red zone when he can outmuscle smaller DBs. He also has good hands and body control, will make the tough catch and he shows excellent concentration on the ball. He is a former QB with excellent AA and overall receiving skills, however he is not great deep threat and doesn't appear to have outstanding quickness or explosiveness. He looks somewhat like a strider and at times has some difficulty separating. If he stays healthy, he will be a solid pick for a NFL team and he may be a perfect example of today's big physical WR. His production, however, may be delegated to short and intermediate routes and not as a deep threat or big play guy. He should forge a nice career as a complimentary receiver, but he just doesn't have that look of a "special" player.
