He is one of the more confusing players in this draft. He has excellent size, pretty good AA and shows some skills, but he doesn't always play up to his ability. He is not a speed player and at times, looks a little sluggish. He seems to lack any type of burst or great quickness and as a result, he is only effective in the short to intermediate range. He doesn't really stretch a defense and although he is a big guy to bring down in the open field, he never requires double coverage. He has decent hands and will catch most of the balls in his area, but he is not going to make a lot of exciting plays. He does a nice job as a blocker and can wall off and stay with his blocks fairly effectively. With his size and strength, he should improve in this area. There seems to be some minor concerns about his competitiveness as sometimes he appears to be going through the motions and he will disappear from a game. NFL teams will not ignore his size and he has played a lot of football at a high level.
