He is a fairly big physical DS that has a reputation for being a big hitter and is very physical versus the run. He is not afraid to come up hard on run support and is a solid open field tackler and he will make his share of big hits. He is better on plays in front of him than as a "turn and run" type DS. He has good, but not great deep speed, but he gets by on instincts and a natural feel for the play. He had a somewhat inconsistent senior year and he doesn't always break down real well in the open field. His cover skills are adequate for a DS, but nothing special. He is better in zone than m/m and he is more of a range DS than a cover guy. He is a solid and safe pick, but not necessarily an exciting guy.
