NFL scouts and coaches can't decide whether Germaine is an excellent quarterback in his own right or if he is a product of a great Buckeye system that surrounds him with excellent players. He is basically a one year starter that has really played well and shows great leadership skills. The people around him rave about his poise and ability to perform under pressure. His physical skills are at least adequate and he does show a nice touch and arm strength and he does not usually make bad decisions. In QB terms, he is very efficient, but not a spectacular physical specimen. There are wide ranging opinions on Germaine and while some personnel people see him as an eventual starter in the NFL, others see him as a solid #2 career type backup.
