He is a player that many compare to Grant Winstrom heading into his senior season, but he is also a guy that seems to be falling on many NFL draft boards. He is a tweener that doesn't have DE size or bulk and he is not a natural type OLB that could drop into coverage. He has good weight room strength, but it doesn't transfer to the football field and he doesn't always play with great leverage and explosiveness. As good of an athlete as he is, he doesn't use his hands well and he gets blocked too often. The one thing he can do is run. He is a great backside chase guy and if he has a clear line to the quarterback, he can be very effective. He looks more like a situational pass rusher on the NFL level than an every down player and if he is in a scheme that takes advantage of his straight line speed and quickness, he could be a fairly productive player.
