Jonathan Daniel/Allsport
He is a poster player for the "overachiever" tag. He is a high effort guy with adequate overall athletic ability, but he really is receiving mixed reviews on NFL draft boards. He has outstanding production, plays with injuries and is a guy that everybody really pulls for. He is "quicker than fast" and really gets his production from his overall effort and tenacity. He absolutely fights to finish the play and refuses to stay blocked. He is a little bit of a one-gap guy and he gets into some trouble when he has to go head up with a big strong OG. He's at his best when he is penetrating the gaps, chasing backside and adjusting on the move. He doesn't have a lot of range, although again, his hustle makes up for it and he makes a lot of backside tackles on cutbacks. He is a little bit of a "tweener" and while he is not really what teams are looking for physically as an inside player, he lacks the AA and edge speed to be a pure DE. He may be a good, but not great NFL player and while you love his production, you must be cautious of his limitations.
