He is one of the all time "enigmas" in this draft and depending on which team you talk to, you will get varying opinions on his draft status. There is no question about his overall physical skills, but injuries and off the field problems (arrested for sexual assault twice and also failed college drug tests) have greatly diminished his reputation. He is now strictly in the draft "gamble" category and he may off many NFL draft boards by draft day. He has excellent overall run skills and an outstanding burst through the hole. He combines a strong leg drive with good feet and moves and does a nice job of making the first tackler miss. While he is not a great speed type breakaway threat, he has his share of long runs and fights hard to gain extra yards. Because of his off the field problems and injuries, he does not have a lot of experience and his instincts are not what they should be at this stage. Before all of his problems, he was perceived as a sure 1st round pick. At this point, it will be critical for him to get through the individual team workouts in the spring as he will be examined with a "fine tooth comb" by NFL coaches and scouts. Depending on how he carries himself, their perception will determine where he is drafted in April.
