He has played in two major college programs (Notre Dame and Cal), but he is another guy that is somewhat of a tweener. He has been primarily used as a pass rusher on the college level, and he is really more of an up-field guy than a true linebacker. He had a nice combine workout and showed excellent quickness and agility, and really flashed in his change of direction and feet. He is another player who would probably be wasted in coverage, but he may find a home as a nickel rusher in a 4-3 defense, or an up-field 3-4 OLB. He is also an excellent special teams player, and this is a guy who may fit in a lot of spots for a creative NFL team. Don't be shocked to see him sneak up several draft boards.
