He did not have a strong '98 season and has been a guy with a lot of controversy in his past. He has missed various time over his college career (especially during spring football) trying to get eligible and also getting out of trouble. As a senior in '98, he looked sluggish and overweight for most of the season, although he has a reputation as a big hitter, he struggled to get himself into position to make plays. He is a little bit of a straightline "one-shot" guy that can be physical if he can get to the ball. He doesn't appear to be overly instinctive, is a liability in pass coverage and if he was a little bigger, he would probably get a look at LB. He has a chance to be a decent special teams contributor, but his lack of cover skills and speed will really hinder him on the NFL level unless he gets into shape and improves his overall consistency.
