Although he has decent athletic ability and good overall skills, he was primarily used on the college level as a blocker and is not an accomplished receiver at this stage of his career. Although he had a decent week at the Senior Bowl, the questions about his hands and receiving skills were not clearly answered. He has shown some flashes catching the ball and he appears to have enough skills to develop into an adequate receiver, although he may never be a great matchup up guy at TE. He is a solid blocker and works to keep on his feet and wall off the defender. He will need some work on refining his routes and tends to body catch the ball too much, but those are skills that have a chance to develop. Scouts and coaches are comfortable enough by draft time with his hands, he could make a nice move up the draft charts.
