Former walk-on. Had a good senior year. Strong kickoff man. More than half of his kickoffs went for touchbacks in '99. Enthusiastic. Hustles downfield on his efforts. Has an unorthodox style on placements. Approaches from only a slight angle. Opens his chest and jabs at the ball -- doesn't have big leg extension or follow through. Trajectory is less than ideal. Has good range. Generally accurate but pushes the ball to the right some. Not a classic kicker, but is an intriguing prospect with legitimate possibilities as a kickoff specialist.
