A shorter-than-ideal strong safety with sturdy legs, muscular upper body and good strength. Tough in run support. Aggressive to the ball. Has good balance in his attack. Protects his legs well. Explosive tackler. A little hesitant in his initial reaction in coverage, but he has good zone awareness. Closes well. Has good leaping ability. Not a skilled man coverage defender when matched up with a receiver near the line -- a little light in his hips -- loses ground on cuts. Should do well on special teams. Solid prospect who should eventually start.
