An athletic free safety who has started since his freshman year. More steady than flashy. Reasonably tall with a lean build and average strength. Better zone than man coverage defender. Somewhat stiff in his backpedal, but he's quick in his plant and break. Has good hip turn and above average speed. Reacts well to the ball. Good leaper. Adequate in run support. Quick footed in his attack. Not real physical taking on and defeating blocks. Gives an effort as a tackler, but isn't explosive -- a little inconsistent. Had a positive combine showing.
