OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Oakland Raiders quarterback Rich Gannon briefly left the AFC title game against Baltimore in the first half Sunday after he was hit by Ravens tackle Tony Siragusa.

Siragusa, who weighs about 340 pounds, fell on Gannon after hitting him. Gannon landed on his right shoulder.

Although down just briefly after the second-quarter hit, Gannon was led from the field to the locker room. Backup Bobby Hoying took his place in the game.

At the two-minute warning before the half, Gannon emerged from the tunnel and tossed the ball with a few trainers. He did not appear to be in pain.

But the Ravens got possession, and Gannon headed back to the locker room early for halftime.

Gannon was back in the game for the Raiders in the second half. His first pass was incomplete, but he hit Jeremy Brigham with a 16-yard pass to put Oakland on the Baltimore 24.

This time, Siragusa hit Gannon and was charged with roughing the passer, putting Oakland on the 12.

The Raiders got as close as the 2, but had to settle for Sebastian Janikowksi's field goal 24-yard field goal to narrow the score to 10-3 for the Ravens.
