Biography: Two-year starter at Kansas State.
Positives: "Large, powerful lineman who easily controls defenders at the point of attack. Plays with good quickness, possesses a wide body, and easily out-positions defenders from the action. Keeps his feet moving throughout the play, blocks down on opponents well, and shows terrific punch with his hands."
Negatives: Lumbers about the field and ineffective in motion. Not a natural knee bender and gets tall as the play proceeds.
Analysis: Mayfield is a size prospect who would be best in a system that confines him to a very small area. He needs a lot of work on his game but may be worth stashing on a practice squad as a developmental prospect.
