PLAYERS
Biography: Junior college transfer who moved into the starting lineup as a senior and was awarded all-conference honors after totals
of 44 tackles/13.5 tackles loss/6.5 sacks. Reserve lineman as a junior, finishing the year with 32/13.5/7.
Positives: Developing lineman with a big upside. Breaks down well, rarely off his feet and slices through blocks to make plays behind the line of scrimmage. Effectively uses his hands, easily changes direction and plays with good quickness. Better than average speed off the edge, deceptively strong and drives up the field, knocking blockers off the line. Plays with excellent pad level and low to the ground. Negatives: Shows stiffness in his game. Slow getting off blocks. Off balance and haphazard in his movement. Analysis: Crawford showed tremendous progress in his game last season and is a solid athlete slowly growing into a complete defensive lineman. He offers possibilities at a number of spots up front and is marching up draft boards. Projection: 2-3 ![]() Robert Beck
