Biography: Junior college transfer who came to Mississippi State as a defensive lineman. Moved to the offensive line last year and started every game at left tackle.
Positives: Developing offensive tackle prospect with terrific size and upside. Quickly gets into blocks, stays square and seals defenders from the action. Sets with a wide base, moves relatively well on his feet and easily rides defenders from their angle of attack. Strong, anchors in pass protection and is large enough to block down on opponents. Plays with a nasty attitude and gets after assignments.
Negatives: Displays stiffness in his game and overextends into blocks on occasion. Not light on his feet and lacks the ability to slide out in pass protection.
Analysis: Carmon is rough around the edges, but did a terrific job his first season as a starter on the offensive line. His size and playing style are best suited for the right side, and he should be kept on a roster as he develops his game.
