PLAYERS
Biography: Junior college transfer started the past two seasons at tackle. Earned all-conference honors last year.
Positives: Massive lineman is strong at the point of attack. Stays square, keeps his feet moving and easily turns defenders off the line. Displays good blocking vision and works well with linemates. Large enough to engulf opponents at the point of attack and easily controls them once engaged in a block. Plays with a nasty attitude. Negatives: Not a natural knee bender. Most effective in a small area and lacks quickness if asked to block on the move. Analysis: Griffin has the size and strength to play in the NFL and could be a valuable backup for several blocking positions on the strong side. Projection: FA |
