Biography: Junior college transfer who's started the two seasons he played for UAB. Played in five games as a senior before injuring his knees and finished the year with 60 attempts/223 yards/1 TDs on the ground. Junior totals included 157/847/3 on the ground and 47/471/4 as a receiver.
Positives: Small yet elusive ballcarrier who displayed the ability to create his own yardage prior to his injury. Displays great quickness, weaves his way on the inside and chooses his spots to keep plays alive. Finds running lanes, slips off defenders and avoid tackles. Solid pass catcher out of the backfield who catches the ball with his hands and turns up the field to pick up positive yardage.
Negatives: Small, brought down by the first defender and overall game lacks strength. Possesses just a short burst of speed and cannot run to daylight.
Analysis: Shed turned in a terrific junior campaign and was shaping up to be a solid situational ballcarrier/return specialist for the next level prior to his injury of last October. He must quickly get back to health and show no ill-effects from the knee injury to have any chance of getting out of camp this summer.
