Biography: Three-year starter who finished with 67 tackles/2 interceptions/5 pass breakups as a senior and 66/1/7 as a junior.

Positives: Athletic cornerback who is best facing the action. Plays with good quickness, has a burst to the action and the ability to explode out of his plant then drive to the football. Aggressive defending the run and gives effort against screen passes. Shows skill in zone coverage and good route recognition.

Negatives: Lacks a sense of timing in pass defense. Loses a sense of positioning against opponents. Struggles finding the ball in the air.

Analysis: Gray was highly rated coming into the season yet never put together a complete game and is still very rough around the edges. He offers potential in a zone system but must stand out on special teams to have an NFL career.
