PLAYERS
Biography: Three-year starter awarded all-conference honors as a senior. Totals last year included 50 tackles/12.5 tackles for loss/2
sacks with two interceptions. Junior tackling numbers included 30/13.5/9.5.
Positives: Productive college defensive end who projects to linebacker in the NFL. Quick off the snap, fast off the edge and nicely collapses down the line of scrimmage to make plays in pursuit. Breaks down well, stays with assignments and displays solid speed in every direction. Slices through blocks to get to the quarterback, plays with good balance and fights hard until the whistle blows. Equally effective rushing the passer out of a three-point stance or when stood up over tackle. Gets depth on pass drops during zone blitz situations and is relatively effective in space. Negatives: Easily out-positioned from the action by a single blocker. Does not possess great pursuit speed. Analysis: McClellin was a terrific college player who looked good in postseason scouting events. He was fluid and natural at multiple linebacker positions during the Senior Bowl and looked athletic at the combine. McClellin possesses a good degree of upside and has a versatile game, which will allow him to play several positions in the defensive front seven for a number of different schemes. Projection: 1st ![]() Peter Read Miller
