Biography: Two-year starter awarded all-conference honors since his junior season. Senior totals included 49 receptions/590 yards/4 TDs after he had 61/842/4 as a junior.
Positives: Well-sized possession receiver with solid hands. Fluid releasing off the line, immediately gets to top speed and extends his hands to offer the quarterback a big target. Catches the ball with his hands and looks the ball in. Displays strong hands and snatches the ball from the air. Easily makes catches in stride, adjusting backwards to grab the errant throw.
Negatives: Lazily comes off the line on occasion. Shows minimal quickness and speed in his game. Long, loping runner. Gives marginal effort blocking. Does not consistently win out in battles.
Analysis: After a terrific junior campaign, big things were expected from Tounkara-Kone last season, but his play took a step back. At the top of his game he is a dominant possession receiver on the small school level who projected as a possible fifth wideout for an NFL roster. His limited speed and quickness hurts, yet Alexander will have an opportunity in camp this summer if he gets his game back on track.
