Positives: Athletic pass catcher with tremendous upside. Comes back to the ball out of breaks, uses his size well and shields defenders from the action. Easily makes the deep reception in stride, adjusting to the errant throw and looking the ball into his hands. Displays a terrific straight-line burst of speed. Takes the big hit yet holds onto the ball. Makes the difficult over-the-shoulder receptions. Consistently catches the ball with his hands. Gives effort blocking downfield and gets results.
Negatives: Displays limited quickness in his game and takes a while to get going. Poor route runner who?s very choppy-footed into breaks. Does not play with great balance and shows stiffness in his game. Will double-catch passes on occasion.
Analysis: Carrier was a productive three-sport athlete in college and has the underlying abilities to play at the next level. He's very athletic and will get consideration at both receiver and tight end.
